Relaxed Cottage Living is owned by Scott-Pieroway Enterprises Inc. Our business is family owned and operated.

We recognize that your family Cottage is your home sweet home away from home. Each Cottage is unique and tells a story about the family that returns there year after year. We hope our products will help you tell your story.

While each Cottage is one of a kind, we also recognize that there are many different types of Cottage. Whether yours is a C oastal Cottage, or a Rustic C ountry Cottage, we provide decorating ideas and a wide range of Indoor and O utdoor Furniture and Decor that complement your choice of retreat.

We have big plans for this website and are always adding new products and features. Check back in frequently as we add new Themes like Kids at the Cottage, Eco-friendly products, and more.

Quality

Relaxed Cottage Living takes the quality of our products very seriously. We choose our products, and our manufacturers with care, and encourage your input. You can post a review on a product you've purchased, comment on our social media pages, or contact us directly.

Availability

Relaxed Cottage Living offers many products which are available immediately. These products are indicated by the phrase "Ready To Ship" displayed prominently in the product Description.

We strive to ensure that all such products listed are in stock, meaning that they are available to be shipped out to you as soon as the order is processed. However, stock could run out in a matter of seconds, or a mistake could be made. In the unlikely event that your product is not available immediately, we will contact you, and explain your options -- you might let the order stand as a backorder if that's your wish, or, of course, you can cancel it and receive a full refund.

Many other products -- especially Indoor and Outdoor Furniture -- are Custom Made according to your specifications. We are working to add even more customizability to some of our existing products. We do this in order to give our customers the exact product they want (or didn't even know they wanted!), and to support skilled American tradespeople.

The disadvantage, of course, is that it takes longer to arrive. Estimated production times, or "Lead Times", are given in each product Description.

Country of Origin

Relaxed Cottage Living has a strong preference for products which are Made in the U.S.A or Canada., as well as for products made from North American source materials.

Although a majority of Textiles are manufactured overseas, our products include a vast array of Rugs, Throw Pillows, Seat Cushions, Pet Beds and more are made in the United States.

Some products are intentionally sourced from other countries. For instance, our Nicaraguan Hammocks are made in Nicaragua, and our Mayan Hammocks are made in Mexico. Our Teak Outdoor Furniture is made on the island of Java, in Indonesia. These products are traditionally made, and made well, in their respective lands, and we are happy to source them from there.

That aside, a majority of our products currently listed are Made in America, and we are striving to increase that proportion. If a product is Made in the U.S., that fact is indicated in its description.

Eco-friendly

Relaxed Cottage Living also has a preference for products that are less damaging to the environment. Many of our current products feature Eco-friendly features which are mentioned in the product descriptions. These include products made using repurposed materials, less harmful chemical processes and more sustainable source materials like Jute.

We are working towards adding new product lines which meet assorted Eco-friendly criteria, including dark-sky compliant lighting.
