Return Policy

Customer satisfaction is important to us. In the unlikely event that merchandise is defective or there is an error on our part, Relaxed Cottage Living is able to arrange a replacement or provide a store credit for the purchase price. The store credit will be for the full value of the returned item(s), unless otherwise noted.  

Please note however that the following items are not returnable or exchangeable under any circumstances:

Cancelled or Modified Orders

Cancelled or modified orders must be done as soon as possible. We can only initiate a return after an order has been marked as shipped. Contact us and we will do everything we can to assist you. If the order has already been shipped, it would then be the customer's responsibility to return the merchandise at which time our return/exchange policy will be applied.

Returning Merchandise

Please contact us  for a return authorization number and to ensure that it is not a final sale item. You must write this number on the outside of the box in order for your return to be accepted. We reserve the right to refuse any delivery that does not have a return authorization number. Items returned without a return authorization number or past 15 days will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense. 

All returns must be in the same condition as when delivered. We ask that merchandise be returned in its original condition meaning that it is unused, unwashed, and in the original packaging and that you include a copy of the invoice or packing slip and the reason for your return. If an item is returned that is not in the original packaging or in its original condition or is a custom item we will return the item to you at your expense.

Please be sure to insure your package before you send it. We are not responsible for packages lost in transit.

Shipping/Handling Charges on Returns

If your return is due to defective products, inaccurate product descriptions or a mistake on our part, it will be replaced with no additional shipping fees. Email Relaxed Cottage Living to discuss whether you can be compensated for shipping/handling charges.

Shipping/handling charges for exchanges will be billed to the customer who placed the original order unless otherwise specified.

Several of our products feature free shipping. If for any reason you need to return an item with free shipping, the store credit you receive will be for the full purchase price less the standard shipping cost. (See our Shipping Policy). If you elect to receive your free shipping purchase for another item that also has free shipping, a standard shipping charge will be added to cover our cost. If you are exchanging a free shipping item for a standard shipping product, you will be charged our regular shipping cost.  

Neither exchanged items nor orders that use a store credit are eligible for free shipping.
