Outdoor Rug Maintenance

***This information is intended as a helpful guideline. Cleaning and care may depend on product contents and circumstances.

Indoor/Outdoor Rugs, Mats & Tabletop Textiles

To clean, run water over your rug or use a garden hose. A very mild non-chlorine detergent may be used as necessary. When cleaning any rugs, air dry flat and flip as needed to allow the rug to fully dry on both sides. Regular vacuuming, using the hard surface attachment, is also recommended. Do not use the beater bar on your rug.

Machine washing is not recommended. For deep cleaning of an entire rug, seek a professional rug cleaner. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.

If threads which hold the braids loosen or break simply sew together with a needle and strong thread. Trim, never pull loose ends. What may appear to be an irregularity in color or construction is actually part of the homespun look. All rugs should be rotated and flipped (if reversible) several times a year to enhance their wear and reduce the effects of fading, matting or crushing.

A Rug Pad is strongly recommended to prevent yarn color dye transfer and provide comfort, safety, and durability.

Slight irregularities are inherent to all products. Minimal size, dye lot, and pattern repeat variations are to be expected from handcrafting. Due to tight packing for shipment, product may not lay flat; starting from the center, work wrinkles out with hands or pole.
