Cedar: Although the original Cedars are a genus of trees which grow most notably in Lebanon, the term has also been applied to other coniferous trees which also have a distinct aroma, including the Western Redcedar which is native to western North America. The use of the single word "Redcedar" is meant to distinguish it from other Cedars, but in practice it is often shortened to just "Cedar". The Western Redcedar, noted for its versatility, resistance to decay and pleasant odor, is used extensively for boats, shingles, Planters, Outdoor Furniture and more. It's also called "Pacific Redcedar" and "shinglewood". All of our "Cedar" products are made from Western Redcedar.
A variety of Cedar products
Chaise Lounge: Derived from the French term "chaise longue" (probably by mistake), meaning "long Chair" -- which is the best description. Originally a type of Daybed which appeared in Victorian parlors or living rooms, "Chaise Lounge" more often refers to a variety of Outdoor Furniture.
Deck Chair: Referring to the deck of a ship, "Deck Chair" denotes any type of Outdoor Seating which folds up for easier transportation and storage, including Chaise Lounges and the like. (Perhaps due to the popularity of the "deck" of a Cottage or Home, the term is sometimes used more broadly, to include almost any Outdoor Chair, but we limit its use to the folding kinds.)

Fully Outdoor: We use this term to distinguish items from ones that are meant for "Semi-outdoor" use. (Semi-outdoor items should not be fully exposed to the elements, and are meant for covered porches, etc.) All of our Cedar items are Fully Outdoor.
Muskoka Chair: A synonym for "Adirondack Chair", popular in Canada, usually referring to a relatively simple design. It refers to the Muskoka region of Ontario, known as that province's Cottage country. Our Muskoka Collection includes the Muskoka Chair and other Outdoor Furniture items similar in style.
